We are recruiting for a Manager – Investment Tax to join our Finance & Operation team.

This role will be responsible for:

• Leading the tax function of across 18 asset classes, covering both investment tax and corporate tax matters with a focus on high value, strategic, expert tax advice.
• Implementing and overseeing the tax governance framework, including assessment of tax risk and mitigation strategies.
• Leading and coordinating the function of procuring and managing tax advice for all investment, operational and corporate matters.
• Responsible for managing, overseeing and effectively implementing the tax structuring and external tax advice relating to investment funds and/or investment transactions (in local and overseas jurisdictions).
• Instigating and managing the tax due diligence of new investment transactions and ongoing monitoring of existing investments.
• Communicating structures and tax outcomes to the Board, relevant committees and internal stakeholders including the delivery of reports, papers and presentations.

Experience:

• Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) or related degree.
• Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA or qualified Solicitor.
• Likely extensive experience within a Big 4 advisory firm, large law firm with an established tax practice or in-house within the Funds Management or Superannuation industry.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other teams.

• Strategic thinking and ability to assess organisational needs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
