Funds SA is pleased to announce the appointment of Mriganka Sarmah as its new Head of Investment Accounting.

Mriganka Sarmah joins Funds SA from Northern Trust, where he held the role of Manager, Fund Accounting. He brings more than 15 years of investment accounting and unit pricing experience across the superannuation and managed funds sectors, with expertise spanning unit pricing and NAV governance, portfolio valuations, investment accounting and reporting.

Funds SA Chief Executive Officer John Piteo said the appointment would bring significant industry experience to Funds SA. “We are pleased to welcome Mriganka to Funds SA. His extensive investment accounting experience and technical expertise will be a valuable addition to our team as we continue to strengthen our investment and operational capability.”

Mriganka Sarmah succeeds Matthew Sanderson, who departed Funds SA in July after approximately eight years with the organisation, most recently as Head of Investment Accounting. Mriganka Sarmah commenced in the role on Monday 2 November 2026.
